Latif wants no leniency towards May 9 rioters
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister Mian Javed Latif on Wednesday demanded strict punishment as per the law for the masterminds, facilitators and perpetrators of the events that transpired on May 9.
Addressing a press conference, Latif said, "The destruction they [masterminds] had done to the country in the guise of elections has now exposed. The country would not tolerate any concession to the mastermind of May 9 and 10".
He said that it was a good omen that a powerful institution started self-accountability process and set an example for other institutions which should also start the same.
Latif hoped that institution providing justice would also go through this process and those who made wrong decisions to crown only one person would be held accountable.
